The billet aluminium Pretech caliper is a high quality piece of engineering designed and manufactured in England. The design incorporates a strengthening brace at the mid point of the caliper that stops caliper flex under braking. Caliper flex can reduce the pressure applied under heavy braking and increase stopping distances. This engineering feature isn't incorporated in all six pot calipers and the ability of the Pretech to brake heavily without flexing is one reason why racers use Pretech calipers.

I use this caliper on my Bonnie and in conjunction with the OEM master cylinder it has excellent stopping performance and gives the brake lever a real nice progressive feel that the OEM caliper can't match.

Twin Power worked with Pretech to re-design the orignal Thruxton fitting caliper to now work for the Bonnie, T100 and Scrambler. This quality kit from Twin Power comes complete with brake pads installed with copper grease, all stainless fittings, four fitting shims and the bleed nipple thread wrapped with PTFE tape to ensure quick and easy bleeding of the fluid.

N.B. If used with the Bonneville or T100 braced mudguard, the bottom left hand brace needs to be persuaded out by 13mm (1/2") to clear the new caliper. This is very easy to accomplish.
