The Problem
The rear brake caliper on the Triumph Bonneville, T100, Thruxton and Scrambler is positioned under the swinging arm. This is a great place for the caliper to suffer the effects of road water mixed with grime, grit and winter salt. This wet weather cocktail causes corrosion of the caliper sliding pins and subsequent seizure or part seizure of the caliper. Unless you're keen to strip the caliper down on a regular basis, the product of caliper seizure is excessive heat build up and premature pad/disc wear as the caliper never fully releases pressure from the pads.

The Solution
Twin Power has developed the UpNOver aluminium billet rear caliper relocation bracket complete with an extended length steel braided rear brake hose with stainless steel fittings and copper washers. The UpNOver places the caliper out of harms way on top of the swinging arm, this location gives the caliper more protection from the elements that cause corrosion. The UpNOver has been sculpted to give a solution that is strong, functional, very trick looking and is lighter than the OEM part to help reduce unsprung weight. It is available in black hard anodised finish.

Installation of the UpNOver bracket is very simple, as it is a direct replacement of the OEM caliper bracket with the exact same dimensions in the important places.

With the new positioning of the caliper, it is best to bleed the system with the caliper off the bracket and with the bleed nipple upper most to ensure all air is evacuated. If bleeding the system by stroking the rear brake lever, ensure you have put a piece of wood of 6-8mm thickness between the pads. If you are using a syringe and clear tube to bleed the system, the 6-8mm piece of wood is not necessary.
